Someone insults you in a meeting, what do you do?

I have over 20 years sales, marketing and operational experience in health related markets including pharmaceutical sales, hospital marketing, and business ownership, I believe in motivating the team, helping the team recognize that the sum is better than the parts alone, teaching the team highly developed communication skills and using those skills to meet and exceed performance standards. My outcome based training gets results for my clients. Reactions to training sessions and speaking engagements are consistently positive. Some of the comments include “wow”, “awesome”, “do you plug yourself in at night?”. My energy level is unequaled. I live my personal mission statement of “give more than you get every day” by volunteering and serving her community. I serve as a board member with the Boys and Girls Club, the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame, the Women’s Economic Development Council for the State of Colorado, and the Montrose Area Merchants Association. I am a member of the American Society of Training and Development and the National Speakers Association.

Sniping is actually quite common where I work. I long ago (even before this job) adopted a zero tolerance attitude. What form this takes each time depends on the situation - but it is always a zero tolerance. Sadly, I get to exercise it all too often.
